rambling thoughts
Mar. 29th, 2006 09:32 pmMmm.
I kind of like this time of year. Spring's around the corner, but there's still a nip of winter occasionally in the air.
It's a changeable season. I like that.
I'm very tactile right now. I'm catching myself petting everyone and going out of my way to communicate through touch. I have to pay attention at work and not pet my coworkers. That wouldn't be prudent.
At my last job, I could. I had several coworkers with whom I could be friendly without being creepy. However, where I'm at now, it wouldn't be appropriate. But I have friends, friendly friends. I can pet my friends and so I shall.
Touching. I like to be touched, too. Sometimes it feels like I never get touched enough. Humans should touch each other on the head more. We are primates, after all.
Today I indulged myself in the buy-one-get-one-free bin at the Beauty Supply store. I have sparkly lipgloss in Coconut, and new basecoat, and hair stuff and this bath fizzy thing to put in your manicure finger-soak. I think I will treat myself to a home makeover here pretty soon. I also got a favorite color of lipstick, some non-latex gloves (Heh. Not so much for hair care...) and a new buffer.
It felt really indulgent.
I need to back off of the stress I've been sitting on. Perhaps this crap will help. The shopping was a nice zen experience...
