Cautiously Optimistic

Great communication last night, as well as a nice dinner. The best part was that we had The Discussion in a sane and rational manner, and there were no sexy times to distract us.
This falls under 'best case scenario' for me.
Boundaries were discussed (including mine) and a kind of a plan has been outlined.They're aware that when my MP returns, my focus will shift to him and our situation will have to be renegotiated. They're comfortable with that arrangement.
It's not exclusive, or anything. I let them know about Angel, and explained about my arrangement with my out of town friend, Ace.
There's another couple that they're interested in, though I have absolutely no idea if that will go anywhere or if I would be invited if it did. In fact, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with it, because I know the other couple socially and professionally. I'd prefer to avoid awkwardness.
Today I had a date with Angel, but she was in a strange headspace. We went to a movie together and afterward I wanted to get some food but she wasn't in the mood. To be fair, she literally just had a ton of family drama dumped upon her last night, so I totally understand.
So overall a very interesting weekend.
Especially because I got ramped up early by a phone call from a different friend and specter from my past on Saturday morning. I have no idea what THAT will turn into, but it does seem that it might turn into something. His situation is... complicated. He could use a pressure valve and I could totally do that, particularly since it would mean that he'd be a pressure valve for me, too.
Good grief.
