I figured that I ought to deliver.

Here's my poem written shortly after THEY invited me into their lives, in a much more personal and intimate way.

Shooting Star

Merrily I twinkle
Lighting the night sky
Divining pasts and futures
To all who gaze upon me

Whirling through dust and wonders
I am welcome and warm
The universe unfolds its mysteries
I am joyful in my space

From up above so high
I see the Sun and Moon
Gracefully circling each other
And the child who is their world

Whirling through dust and wonders

Like a diamond in the sky
I sparkle my light down to them
I twinkle and blink
Did they wink at me?

Across the sky I streak
To join them in their celestial dance
Before returning once again
To my constellation, my home
