The reason you couldn't hear it is that that sample was completely empty. (I cruised the quiz results, and if you pick that value, it says "You are a liar").
I myself was really annoyed at how little I can hear any more. Thank you industrial sound pollution. And thank you non-stop high-pitched sound that NEVER GOES AWAY.
