I'm going to start with a Ghostbusters quote:
"Shh, listen. Do you smell something?"
Meme Du Jour - Synesthesia
1. What color is fear?
2. What sound does affection make?
3. What texture does Autumn have?
4. What shape does a conversation make?
5. What fabric is a kitten made of?
6. What noise is made by curiosity?
7. What is the smell of knowledge?
8. How do you punctuate life?
9. What does death taste like?
Meme Du Jour - Synesthesia
1. What color is fear? Fear has no color, like shadow.
2. What sound does affection make? Purring noises, usually. Sibilant hisses of touching.
3. What texture does Autumn have? Crinkly. Autumn makes me think about cardboard, dry leaves, and the first fireplace fires. Crackly. Crinkly. Crispy autumn.
4. What shape does a conversation make? All conversations take on their own shapes, naturally. It can be an unbalanced shape if one person dominates. It can be a pleasant, friendly shape if both people are enjoying it. It can take on threatening shapes when uncomfortable subjects are broached.
5. What fabric is a kitten made of? Tyfur. Totally.
6. What noise is made by curiosity? Depends upon the owner of the curiousity. My dad makes "hm" noises. My Male Primary mumbles to himself. I think aloud, also, or make an OOooo sound.
7. What is the smell of knowledge? Hm. The easy answer is the dusty library smell of a lot of old books being stored together, well cared for and available. Knowledge can smell like lots of things, though. For a chef, it can smell like perfectly balanced flavors and nuances. For a photographer it can have the sharp smell of developer or of electronic things. For a quilter, it can smell like a hot iron on cotton fabric, or for a painter it can smell like canvas and oils and brush-cleaner.
8. How do you punctuate life? Well, I'm rather fond of run-on sentances. And commas. But with regard to my life... yeah. Elipses. that little dot dot dot that means the thought isn't really finished.
9. What does death taste like? No one living can know. Of course, we can imagine. I bet that death has a taste like something you half-remember tasting from your childhood, and had forgotten.
